Who we are

This website is operated by Darren Colin Bailey, trading as DCB Real Estate Sales Townsville (ABN 41 138 922 855, Agency Licence No. 4941063). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" means that business.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us. When you submit the appraisal or enquiry form, that is:

• your name and phone number
• your email address, if you provide it
• the property address or suburb, if you provide it
• anything you write in the message field
• which listed property you were enquiring about, if you came to the form from a listing

If you phone or email us directly, we collect what you tell us in that conversation.

Why we collect it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a market appraisal, keep in touch with you about selling or buying a property, and keep an accurate record of our dealings with you as a licensed real estate agency. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to your enquiry without your consent.

Where it goes

To do that, your enquiry passes through two service providers who store it on our behalf:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and receives form submissions. Netlify may store this information outside Australia, including in the United States.
• MRI Vault RE, provided by MRI Software, the customer relationship management system we use to manage enquiries and property records.

Our website provider, Australia Advertising, maintains the website and its connection to our CRM, and may access enquiry data only to keep that working.

This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and some page code from the jsDelivr content network. Like any website request, this shares your device's IP address with those providers so the files can be delivered to you.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, and does not track you across other websites. If that changes, we will update this policy before it does.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to our CRM is limited to people who need it to do their job.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
